I titled this "The Paso Doble" because these little hummingbirds are constantly fighting amongst each other, and in this particular photograph the tiny Anna's Hummingbird looks like a matador taking on all the other hummingbirds that dare to invade his territory.
Briand Sanderson got his start in photography in 1987 while working as a summer assistant at the photo lab on the Yongsan Army Post in Seoul, South Korea. While spending his summer working in the dark room, he was inspired to purchase his first 35mm Canon SLR camera. His camera may have changed, but Briand has been taking photographs ever since! Today Briand focuses on landscape, travel and nature photography. His work can be found in collections all over the world and has been shown in juried exhibitions and shows. Briand enjoys learning new techniques and exploring new subject matter. He currently resides in Redmond, Washington.
